Latest update: Monday 25th May 2020
If you love supporting local and really miss eating out you will love this bumper MK Food Guide – It is everything you need to get through lockdown. In this food guide, you’ll find a list of all the restaurants and food vendors offering delivery and/or takeaway in Milton Keynes. Many of these businesses already offer a takeaway option, but others have adapted to offer it as they can’t remain open in the traditional sense. From pizza to burgers, sushi to curry, there’s something for everyone here.
Please be aware that I’ve not tried everywhere that I’ve included in this post. I usually only feature places in my MK Food Guides that I have been to myself, but due to the current situation, I think it’s important to give you guys as much choice as possible. I’ve put an asterisk (*) by the ones that I’ve tried.
I am not promoting anything that is unsafe for you to do. Restaurants offering delivery or takeaway are still allowed to operate. However, if you are self-isolating properly or in quarantine with symptoms, always choose the contactless delivery option instead of going out to pick up your food. Each of these vendors has all adapted their practices so that they can offer contactless delivery (i.e you’ll get a knock at the door and the food will be on your doorstep!)
The rules, as per the government advice:
- Stay 2 metres away from other people.
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home.
- Stay home as much as possible.
Please bear in mind that these business owners are providing a service to you and there is also a degree of risk for them too. Be kind, considerate and understand and PLEASE adhere to their rules of social distancing. They are there for everyone’s safety.

Legend One Sushi Bar *
[Note: Legend One seems to be shut right now. I’m not sure if it is 100% open – I can’t get any clarification from them!]
Legend One is a new oriental restaurant in Central Milton Keynes serving both Chinese food and sushi. It’s tucked away next door to Sainsbury’s opposite The Hub. I really rate Legend One however they did forget something from our order when we got a takeaway a few weeks ago. The Sushi is really good – it’s on par, if not slightly better than Akasaka.
Opening Hours: Call to check.
Delivery Radius: Central Milton Keynes or collection.
How to order: You can order via Starship Deliveries for CMK addresses or call 01908 666617. View menus on Legend One’s website.
Pin Petch Thai Restaurant *
Pin Petch is a good option for Thai. It’s located in Newport Pagnell and has some great dishes on the menu. We ordered takeaway from there recently and although it was half an hour late, the food was tasty! I’d recommend the Paeng Red Ped Yang red roast duck curry and the crispy chicken with mango salad. The prawn toast is pretty epic too. Give the satay a miss if it’s usually your favourite though!
