AD – This post is part of a paid partnership with Crispy Seoul.
If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the hunt for something a little bit different. Well, guess what? There’s something new and exciting in MK. Get ready to say “annyeonghaseyo” to Crispy Seoul, a new Korean takeaway in the city. Owned by the duo Atia and Mira (who, by the way, know a thing or two about running a takeaway business!), Crispy Seoul was born from a simple craving for Korean food. So, they created their own!
Keen to get it right, they teamed up with an actual Michelin-starred Korean chef to help create their menu. All of the food on the menu is freshly made to order and the sauces are all homemade exclusively for Crispy Seoul with proper ingredients.
I caught up with Atia and Mira to find out more about Crispy Seoul. And of course, I also sampled their delicious food.

5 minutes with Crispy Seoul
Thanks for inviting me over to Crispy Seoul! Can you start by introducing yourself and your business?
Crispy Seoul is owned by myself, Atia Khan and Mira Daya. We are owners of an established restaurant in Milton Keynes with some years of experience in the food industry. We decided to create our own brand due to the gap in the market for Korean food in Milton Keynes.
Crispy Seoul is currently a delivery-only takeaway that provides vibrant and bold flavours of Korea, straight to your doorstep. We focus solely on delivering ensuring that every dish is freshly prepared and promptly dispatched for maximum flavour and satisfaction. Our menu is inspired by the bustling streets of Seoul featuring crispy Korean fried chicken, tangy kimchi and other classic Korean flavours.
Tell us about your journey so far.
We enjoyed Korean food in London and found that there were very few authentic options in Milton Keynes so we came up with Crispy Seoul. We worked with a Michelin-starred Korean Chef to develop our recipes and procedures based on what flavours we wanted. Once we had sorted the menu we got started on the branding and opened Crispy Seoul in September!
What are your plans for Crispy Seoul in the next 12 months?
We are super proud of the brand we created from scratch. The feedback so far has been really positive and we can’t wait to get out there more. We would love to attend events and do some pop-ups in the local area. So if you run events, and are looking for a Korean vendor – Get in touch!

Now time for the food…
Of course, you want to know everything about the food! Atia and Mira invited me to sample some of the dishes on the menu and I have to say, I was impressed. I am a total sucker for nice packaging as it is, so the slick branded bags and boxes got an immediate tick from me.
I tried a variety of Crispy Seoul’s favourite dishes.

First up, the Panko Coated Prawns (£6.95) which came with a Korean Mayo. Crisp batter and tender prawns: Instant winner. I’m not sure I would want to share this!
Next, I tried the Panko Coated Pumpkin Croquettes (£5.49). These are vegetarian of course, but you still feel like you are getting an absolutely delicious dish. Honestly, the panko was SO crispy, I don’t know how they do it! The pumpkin was nice and fluffy on the inside. This is the same element that gets added to their veggie burger.
The Sticky Ginger & Garlic Soy Boneless Fried Chicken (£11.95) was equally tasty! Crispy fried chicken is tossed in a homemade ginger, garlic and soy sauce. Some might find this a little salty, but I found the balance just right, especially paired with the sticky rice.
And finally, one of my favourites was the Asian Style Coleslaw (£3.99). This was so good! It had everything I love about East and South East Asian food. Crunch, sweetness, a little spice, sesame flavours and freshness. It was the perfect pairing to the savoury fried chicken.

Final thoughts
Atia and Mira were quick to acknowledge the thriving independent business scene in Milton Keynes, drawing inspiration from those who have successfully grown their brands from humble beginnings. They understand the dedication and hard work required to thrive in the competitive food industry and are ready to embrace the challenge.
I was really impressed with the food at Crispy Seoul and think it is a great addition to the City. I can see myself ordering this for lunch or dinner when I fancy something a bit different.
So, if you’re in Milton Keynes and craving the authentic taste of Korea, look no further than Crispy Seoul.
