AD | There is a new indie Korean takeaway in town AD | There is a new indie Korean takeaway in town 🇰🇷Introducing @crispy_seoul which serves some of the crispiest panko prawns I’ve ever had the privilege of tasting 😅If you enjoy Korean flavours, I definitely recommend checking Crispy Seoul out. Their sauces are all made in-house with proper ingredients and the menu was developed in collaboration with a Michelin-starred Korean Chef! Considering it is * just * a takeaway, the food is packed with flavour and something I could eat again and again.I tried:— Panko Coated Prawns with Korean Mayo— Panko Coated Pumpkin Croquettes— Sticky Ginger & Garlic Soy Boneless Fried Chicken— Asian Style ColeslawThe Prawns and Coleslaw were standout for me. The prawns were crispy AF with a light panko batter. The ‘Slaw made me do a literal happy dance... ad pr invite | Tapas 🤝 WineWe love to see a s ad pr invite | Tapas 🤝 WineWe love to see a small business collab ✨ @bringoods.uk and @oletapasbarmk recently hosted a ‘Dine & Wine’ Night where Olé provided the food, and Bringoods provided the wine🍷We tried each wine on it’s own and then tried it with the dish. It is always interesting to see how food changes the experience of the wine!Three out of the four wines were white, which I would never usually pick for myself. They paired beautifully with every dish!However, I am still a red wine girl through and through. My favourite was the Oxtail paired with the Argentinian Malbec. This dish just transported me back to our Honeymoon in San Sebastian, and the wine was the perfect match to cut through the richness of the dish.It was such a nice way to spend an evening. It’s always fun to surrender the control of your food and drinks to someones else! 😅🍷 Check out Bringoods for boutique wine tastings and to stock up on your Christmas wines.🇪🇸 If you haven’t tried Olé before - You need to! We found a beautiful Nordmann Fir which looks SO stunning in our lounge.As always, a @goodtimesuk toastie or two was on the cards followed by some festive chouxys from @chouxlyscrumptious 😍I also picked up a cheeky bottle of cherry brandy from @thefruityfarmer to enjoy by the tree in front of this year’s first Christmas film, Miracle on 34th Street 🍒Having a locally grown tree every year feels very special ❤️@thexmastreefarm is open every weekend until Christmas from 9am - 4pm. A weekend in Bruges 🇧🇪We hopped across to A weekend in Bruges 🇧🇪We hopped across to Belgium for the weekend for a little winter city break and it was an excellent idea. We went on the Eurostar (you change in Brussells!) and door to door, it was 5-6 hours. By 2pm on Friday we were eating loaded fries 🍟Bruges is VERY quaint and pretty. Everywhere you looked was very cute! The Christmas Markets were on, so everywhere looked very festive too, I loved it 🥰Some spots we visited:- The Potato Bar for fries and croquettes. - Restaurant Diligence was where they filmed a scene from In Bruges and we had a good steak here. - Staminee De Garre, a Medieval-vibes pub. Bonus points for cheese cubes with beer. - That’s Toast for brunch. - We had good coffee at Margrit and Dees. - De Gastro for a very nice lunch - Flemish beef stew was delicious! - Beer Atelier was a very quirky spot for Belgian beers. - La Casita for cocktails. - Hotel De Gran Passage (our hotel, but also had a nice restaurant downstairs!) - Oyya for waffles - Boat tour is a must, really nice way to spend half an hour. There are so many along the canal and they all do the same route.We didn’t manage to get any hot chocolate in 🥲 and we tried to grab one in Brussels, but the café didn’t take card 💔It’s definitely not the foodiest place we’ve ever been, a lot of the restaurants had very similar menus. We messed up on our second (and last!) night by not making a reservation, and it was so stormy that literally everywhere was full, so we had to have a bit of a naff meal at the first place we could find!
