Cornwall Place Kitchen, Buckingham

Don’t shoot me, I know it’s not ~ technically MK ~ but we cover MK postcodes on this blog! And Cornwall Place Kitchen is TOO GOOD not to feature. CPK is run by George and Sarah who used to work at The Brasserie at MK College. I hosted my second Sophie’s Supper Club with them! Anyway, they opened up Cornwall Place Kitchen and it’s a coffee shop with an evening restaurant. They serve delicious coffee (supplied by Wooden Hill) and amazing food.

The brunch menu is very refreshing because it’s a bit different. In fact, It’s starkly different from most of the spots you’ll find in this guide. I recommend the CPK – the DREAMIEST breakfast bap packed with bacon. sausage patty, onion relish and a packed egg, which pops very satisfyingly when you cut into it. The French Toast is also unreal and you definitely need to try it. The Maple Bacon is a classic but there’s also stuff for those of you who love something super sweet.

The Codebreaker’s Café, Bletchley

If you are after a no-fuss, reasonably priced breakfast with a cracking full English, you could do no worse than The Codebreaker’s Café. It’s a great spot on Bletchley High Street which opened in early 2021 and I’m a big fan of their food (the burgers are awesome!!) The coffee here is great and there are plenty of options to suit whatever your brunch style is. There’s even a Bulgarian breakfast (which is a nod to the owner, Vera’s, heritage) The name of the café is in tribute to Bletchley Park which is just around the corner.

The eggs benedict is a classic, with zesty hollandaise sauce, thick ham and the most perfectly poached eggs you ever did see!

French Affaire, Stony Stratford

French Affaire is one of my favourite spots in Milton Keynes and it’s one that is gaining so much popularity. Tucked behind Stony’s high street in Odell’s Yard, this little café serves up some seriously good food in an absolutely gorgeous setting! I’ve featured French Affaire in my guide to the most Instagrammable locations in MK and I’m sure you can see why!

The pastel interior, rose gold cutlery and beautifully presented food make this the ultimate destination for brunch with the girls. The food most definitely isn’t style over substance either: The eggs royale crépe is my go-to and is a filled cheese and salmon crépe topped with hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure you check out their evening menu too!

The Game Changer Kitchen, Giffard Park

The Game Changer Kitchen is a beautiful location for brunch and is definitely one to add to your list if you are looking for child-friendly destinations. You might already be familiar with TGCK, as they had a café inside DW Fitness in Bletchley, but now have their own premises which is super exciting for them. The interior is very pink and ‘Instagrammable’, with plenty of neon and dried florals provided by Harding & Bloom.

It certainly isn’t style over substance though – Chef Nico trained at MK College (and actually cooked for Sophie’s Supper Club at The Brasserie!) The menu features some great hearty brunch options. Although BAE (bacon avocado eggs) is something I create at home regularly, not all BAEs are created equal! This was totally delicious and I will definitely be heading back for more. The coffee is also brilliant and is supplied by Wooden Hill Coffee Co.

The Greedy Italian, Fenny Stratford

The Greedy Italian is one of my favourite restaurants in Milton Keynes. In fact, it’s probably the number one recommendation I give people. It has already featured in my best restaurants for date night guide for its lovely atmosphere and epic food and now I’m bringing it to you as one my favourite brunches in Milton Keynes!

From a full English to pancakes to fancy eggs on toast and mouth-watering specials, you will absolutely find something you fancy for breakfast. The food here is seriously good and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients and everything is truly made with love! Pictured above is the vegetarian alarm clock which I didn’t make very vegetarian with the addition of bacon! They also let you order extra hash browns with your breakfast dish – sorry not sorry – so this is just another reason why The Greedy Italian wins at brunch.

The Greedy Italian also offers a bottomless brunch every Saturday from 12pm. It is £28 per person which includes two courses and unlimited prosecco or peroni.

The Green Elephant Café, Central Milton Keynes

The Green Elephant Café is a great destination not only for coffee, but brunch too. Located in Central Milton Keynes in the MK Community Foundation building, this makes a great space for a coffee shop office or you could take your coffee into nearby Fred Roche Gardens in the summer. There is a beautiful mural on the wall painted by local artist, Jesita Patel, which is stunning and really brings the café to life.

Food-wise, the full English is great and features locally sourced ingredients, most notable bacon from Woburn Country Foods. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, there are plenty of options for you as well.

Oh, and make sure you save room for the banana bread which also happens to be vegan. It is nothing short of legendary!

Kuku Coffee House

If you are looking for something a little different, I can absolutely recommend Kuku’s for brunch! Their menu features classic breakfast dishes like avocado on toast and a full English, but the real stars of the show are the desi brunch options. The Chaat is delicious and fresh with a mass of texture and flavour, a perfect lighter option.

On weekends, you can get the special ‘Halwa Puri’ which is also known as Chole Bhature. If you go to Pakistan, this is something you will find being made for breakfast in every household. Featuring Poori (deep fried flatbread), Halwa (sweet semolina based purée) and Chole (flavoursome chickpea curry) this is literally a flavour explosion! The Halwa is delicious and pairs so well with the savoury nature of the Chole. I highly recommend you give this a go!

Nonna’s, Woburn Sands

Nonna’s is one of my favourite restaurants in Milton Keynes and it’s my go-to if I am looking for somewhere a little classier for dinner or a date night – the food is honestly amazing and Damien is such an innovative chef. It offers one of the best brunches in Milton Keynes (as certified by MKFM!)

My favourite dish is the Italian Benedict which is a twist on a brunch classic. Proscuitto ham, poached eggs and basil hollandaise top toasted sourdough bread. Oh, and did I mention they also have halloumi fries on the brunch menu? Winning!

Out of Office, Witan Gate

Ohhh Out of Office how I bloody love thee! This is where most of my money is spent during the week because not only is it such a good workspace and spot for meeting clients, but the food and coffee are unreal. They do some of the best pancakes in MK as well as other favourite breakfast dishes. Sausage and bacon bap anyone?

Super Sausage, Towcester

The Super Sausage on the A5 between Stony Stratford and Towcester is the ultimate greasy spoon. There’s nothing fancy about it, but it’s what makes it full of character. This biker pit stop cafe is everything you probably want on a hangover. Strong tea, huge fry ups for under £8 and pints of freshly squeezed orange juice. I wouldn’t recommend heading here every day – one meal is enough to clog your arteries, but it’s such a solid fry up and has a very worthy place amongst the best brunches in Milton Keynes.

Upper Regency Café, Central Milton Keynes

Upper Regency has been around for a while, but it is a bit of a hidden gem that is well worth a visit. The owners are former restaurant owners and chefs, who moved to MK from Hertfordshire. The food is all made fresh to order and it’s a great little stop for brunch. Located just opposite Fred Roche Gardens, it has a lovely view of the city centre and is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Try their eggs royale with zesty hollandaise and runny poached eggs. The smoothies are also delicious!

Website: www.upperregency.co.uk

The Whisk Kitchen, Woburn Sands

The Whisk Kitchen in Woburn Sands is a brunch spot-cocktail bar hybrid serving pancakes and cocktails all day. What could be better!? You can pick and mix your toppings on your crepes and there is plenty whether you like sweet or savoury. Salmon and poached eggs is a classic for me and the pancakes are PACKED with filling!

I’ve yet to try the cocktails, but the range is extensive and there is a fabulous range of delicious juices on offer too if you’re visiting on a hangover…!

Wrap it & Run, Wolverton

Wrap it & Run is a breakfast wrap delivery service run by husband and wife team, Gemma and Joe, in Wolverton. Using fresh, high-quality ingredients and local producers, these wraps are the perfect accompaniment to a lazy weekend or for blitzing that hangover. The wraps are so delicious and are full to the brim without being soggy.

I would recommend the Big Boss wrap or, if you’re feeling really hungry, the Bog Daddy Boss Wrap! Each order comes with a bottle of fruit juice and you can order extras like hashbrowns or add Reasons to Season sauces. You can order via Facebook or their website and delivery is available within a 5-mile radius of Wolverton or you can collect your wraps.
