New must-try food vendors launching in Milton Keynes this autumn

I love seeing new independent food vendors launch in Milton Keynes. And despite the current climate and uncertainty, 2020 hasn’t been a bad year for new ventures! With lockdown forcing businesses to adapt, there has been some great new products and services. There seem to be lots of new vendors launching this autumn, so I thought I’d do a round-up of some of the hottest launches to hit MK’s food scene this autumn and give you my verdict on those that I’ve already tried.

Sushi Club MK, a new sushi delivery vendor.

New launches to try now

Fry Guys MK

I have made my love for fry guys VERY clear since I tried them a few weeks ago! Fry Guys is run by Steve and Chris who bring loaded fried to MK – who knew we needed them so badly. The fries are topped with delicious smoked meats (or plant-based alternatives!) If you head up before 12pm, you can get your paws on their brunch offering, loaded tater tots, which to be honest, I also didn’t know I needed. Topped with cheesy omelette, bacon bits and crispy onions, it’s literally the breakfast of dreams.

Find Fry Guys in Queen’s Court market in Centre:MK. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

Sushi Club

Sushi Club is a brand new sushi delivery service that launched in the last few weeks. Offering home delivery of freshly made sushi rolls, this is a sushi lover’s dream! The sushi is great value and totally delicious – classic but with some twists. We got our hands on the ‘Lover’s Platter’, a great start to try out the delicious range of rolls. We switched out the sashimi for a Salmon California Roll (salmon, cucumber, avocado). The Nigiri is probably the best I’ve tried locally – the fish was excellent quality. The addition of crispy onion topped rolls was also a treat – yum. And if raw fish isn’t your thing, they offer a ‘nothing raw’ platter and plenty of plant-based options.

You’ll also find Japanese sides like Gyoza and Edamame to complete your order. Oh – and try the Mochi – it’s so delicious!

It is delivery only to Milton Keynes. The website is launching soon, so for now, follow Sushi Club on Facebook and DM to order.

Coming soon…

Cornwall Place Kitchen

A brand new venture from local chefs, George and Sarah who run Inspired Dining, Cornwall Place Kitchen will (hopefully!) launch in Buckingham this November. Expect to see a coffee shop downstairs serving good coffee and freshly made cakes. Upstairs, there will be a private dining space for up to 10 people for George and Sarah to show off their culinary experience in the kitchen. I, for one, cannot wait for this to launch.

Find out more on the Inspired Dining website.

One vendor I cannot WAIT to try is Wingmania! A wrestling-inspired street food truck from the guys that run MK11, who’s wings are pretty legendary. I have full confidence that this is going to be all kinds of awesome. There’s no word on when Wingmania will launch, but it’s looking like it will be soon. The photos of the menu so far look incredible – checkout these Boneless Waffle Wings! There’s more good news on the menu too – Wingmania will be offering a range of vegan alternatives for the all plant-based peeps.
