Into the woods

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.

I think spring dressing is definitely my forte when it comes to clothes. I posted around this time last year about a boomerang outfit – i.e an outfit I just kept on coming back to. It combines my two favourite trends at the moment, bardot tops and culottes! I can’t seem to stop buying off the shoulder tops… I’ve acquired several since last spring. I just find them so flattering and easy to wear either with jeans or tucked into skirts. This floral number is from F&F who never fail to surprise me with their pieces. It’s so dangerous. I pop into Tesco to grab groceries and end up coming out with clothes. I love the subtle flared sleeves on this and the pastel print. Kudos to Mumma etc. for picking this up.

These culottes are last years from boohoo which I also featured here. (with, quelle surprise, another bardot top) I’ve invested in another pair from Zara since which are black but this pair is still my go-to when I’m trying to go dressy but not too dressy. I just love culottes. They make me feel so sassy as a tall gal, they suit my shape and usually sit in the right place so I don’t look as if I’m dressed in kids clothes.

What I’m wearing

Bardot top – F&F Clothing | Culottes – Boohoo | Shoes – M&S | Choker – Accessorize | Sunglasses – Ray Ban

A quick shout out to Gemma for taking these photos! Gemma has started her own wedding and lifestyle blog called Spinkdot which you should definitely check out because she has got some fab wedding related content coming up (and also great outfit posts shot by yours truly). We teamed up at the weekend to take snaps for each other’s blogs which were a lot of fun and saw us scrambling through the woods to find the perfect location. Note, that I wore trainers to get through the woods, not these lovely shoe boots from M&S.

I hope you’ve all had a great week! I’ve had a bit of a busy one if I’m honest and I’ve had to slow down a bit so I don’t lose my head again. I went to an event with Ted Baker last night in London which was probably the highlight of my blogging career. I LOVE Ted Baker and I spent the whole evening in their HQ which was incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to show you what I got up to! (If you’re quick, you might be able to catch some highlights on my Instagram stories!)

Have a beaut weekend! xo
