Witch Skin Clearing primer; No7 BB cream; Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer; Revlon Brow Fantasy*; Maybelline colour tattoo in 'permanent taupe'; NYX eye shadow trio*; Total Intensity mascara by prestige*; NYX blush in 'Bourgeois Pig'*; Technic Highlighter*; Topshop Whimsical lipstick.
I'm pretty pleased with how this 'everyday make up' series is going - it's encouraging me to rummage through my stash and use things I don't normally use.
I really wanted the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette when it came out, but I don't really wear matte eye shadows. I had a rootle in my eye make up stash and rediscovered my love for this cute little NYX eye shadow trio*. My friend Mishaal sent me these over in a beauty swap we did (she lives in Florida!) and they are really good for every day wear. I've found myself reaching for them a lot recently, and have found to actually quite enjoy working with matte eye shadows. The trio has a nude, taupe and dark brown, and I use them all together, like I have done in the look above, or on their own. I patted the taupe shade all over the lid and then worked the dark brown into the crease. I then finished it off by highlighting my browbone and inner corner with the nude shade. It's satisfying my cravings for the Naked basics for sure! I used it over my less-than-loved Maybelline colour tattoo eye shadow in Permanent Taupe as a primer. This really should have more love, as it's a great product and helps eye shadow to last forever!
I'm still loving using my No7 BB cream as it's better for my skin on the cold, bitter days we've been experiencing. The NYX Blusher was also in my goodie box from Mish, and it's perfect for adding a pretty, natural flush of colour. It's pretty matte, so I like to put it over the top of a liquid highlighter like the one by Technic*, which is a known dupe for Benefits High Beam!
My lipstick of choice is Topshop Whimsical, which has become somewhat of a cult shade from the Topshop range. This is the only lipstick I own from Topshop, which is odd, as I really like the formula, I think some of the colours scare me a little. I'm still not sure on the matte peachy pink number, I think I'd enjoy it more if it has a glossier finish.

  1. This looks lovely, I really like the whole look :)
I'm not one for matte eyeshadows either so the matte UD palette hasn't really enticed me, I can't say the same for the NAKED 2 palette though...I need that palette.
