a (sort of) necessary haul...

IMG_2127
I just thought I'd share with you some things I've bought recently. I got paid last week, and surprisingly, the money has been sat in there untouched longer than usual! I need to start saving money really, but I can't do a total spending ban so I just decided to 'reduce' spending to things I needed. See my failing justification of these purchases? Yeah me too...

I went to the new Primark in MK yesterday morning. If you live round this area, you should definitely go check it out. It's so posh and makes the other Primarks I've been to look really grim. I bought a few things that I needed! The cream jumper was literally like £8 and it's so cosy. I love jumpers so much right now I've been wearing them loads. It means I always have something to wear and I can wear them over shirts with jeans. I picked up a pair of light blue skinny jeans too. I had a pair last year but I managed to break the zip. These were £7, (utter bargain!) I NEVER go wrong with Primark jeans, they are the only place that fit me how I want them too, and you can afford to have pairs in different washes. The paler colour is good for spring too.
I also got some undertops which were £3 each. They aren't very exciting, I just like wearing them under sheer blouses etc. I got a new hair doughnut as my old one broke and kirby grips. Both were £1 each! I love hair doughnuts - I'm trying to grow my hair out and favour a top knot bun as my everyday hairstyle but with minimal hair I can fake long locks with this! I always lose kirby grips, so I have to keep buying them.

I popped into Boots before work and picked up some exciting, but unnecesasry things. First up, the new No7 Beautiful Skin electric face brush. I use the botanics one in the hope that one day I'll be able to get a Clarisonic, but this is a perfect substitute! It's usually £25, but they have it on offer at the moment for £15. The lovely lady at the counter said I could use my £5 off skincare voucher too, so it cost me just under £10. I used it last night and this morning, and my skin feels lovely, so look out for a review of this in a few weeks.
I also bought the much anticipated Rimmel Apocalips lip laquers. I bought Stellar, Galaxy and Celestial. They are £5.99 but on 3 for 2 right now. I've swatched them, but can already see why they are such a hit. I'm in love!

I bought some really cute Lipstick collar clips from Jewellery by Jaymie. They go onto shirt collars and are so cute! She illustrates all her jewellery and accessories, and these are adorable. They arrived yesterday and I paid just under £12 for them + P&P, which I think is so good for an original piece of jewellery!
I forgot to take photos of them in this haul, but I also bought these boots from work. I got them with my discount and I love them so much.

So there are my recent purchases! Are you tempted by anything?

P.S My friend Louisa has just set up a Fashion and lifestyle blog called 'Fashion Fumblings'. She's really cool and I love her clothes so please go check out her blog and follow her! It's going to be awesome I can tell already! :-) Find her here.
