| 17 Powder blusher in First Flush (left) and First Kiss (right), £3.49 each - Exclusive to Boots. |
I really like 17 make up, it's got a pretty firm grounding with me, seeing as it was the first 'proper make-up' I used. I've been using products from it since I was about 13 so have seen it go through a few brand changes.
Theses blushes are part of the permanent line of make up. There are a few shades on offer to compliment an array of skin tones so there will be something for everyone. The blushers come in little round pots that have a screw off lid and a clear top so you can see the shade inside. It's pretty compact and secure so you can travel around with these without worrying about bashes in your bag.
'First Flush' distinctly reminds me of a powder version of my once-beloved Topshop Neon Rose cream blush. I've grown to realise that bright blushers like this really don't suit my skin tone and I find they look rather OTT on my pale skin. The shade is fairly flat and matte; there is no shimmer running through it. I feel as if this shade would need some shimmer in it, as then it would be a lot more wearable, as I find it can look slightly chalky. It is a gorgeous, gorgeous shade, but maybe more suited to medium skin tones. That being said, I am trying to utilise it as much as possible!
'First Kiss' is my favourite out of the two! It's a warm dusky rose shade, with brown tones to it. I find this shades works extremely well with my skin tone, as it has a subtle gold shimmer running through it, making it much less flat and giving shape and contour to the face. I really love this, and its become one of my favourite blushers that I own in my ever growing collection.
Both blushers are well formulated, and there in minimal product fall out. I use my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply them and they apply evenly and blend really well. In terms of wear, they do face after about 5 -6 hours, but for little over £3, this is pretty good!
A lovely pair of little budget blushers that I would recommend in any make up collection. I've got my eye on 'Nude' next!
17 Powder Blushers are available for £3.49 each from Boots.
Have you tried these? Which shade takes your fancy?
p.s - I got my AS level results today, and I had NOTHING to worry about. I got an A in Psychology, then B's in History, English (little but gutted about that) and Philosophy and Ethics. I got a B in General Studies too, meaning I'm not a complete idiot at General knowledge hahaha xo
These look really nice! I've never tried any 17 blushes, Think i'll pick some up next time i'm in boots!
