seventeen

Birthday cake, made by my wonderful mother! :-) 

So yesterday was my 17th birthday - eek! I literally had the best day and was well and truly spoilt. I got driving lessons from my parents; my first lesson was this afternoon and I was terrified but actually, I got on very well. I got lots of beauty bits and pieces, vouchers and jewellery including a massive tool box to put all of my nail art things in! The best present had to be the signed photo of Matt Smith (Doctor Who) from my godmother. She wrote to him and told him that I was a superfan and obsessed with him (not far off the truth...) last year for my 16th birthday, but it only came two months ago! I didn't even care I was so over the moon with it! I thought I'd show off my cake that my mum made too. Isn't it amazing!? I love it and I didn't want to cut it as it looked so good! I chose the most difficult one though hehe. 

This week is going to be crazy busy as we are going on holiday on Friday straight from school, so everything has to be ready and packed by Thursday evening. Scary, because I haven't even thought about packing yet, and I'm not at home tomorrow as I am in Cambridge tomorrow with my English group for the Shakespeare festival. (woo!) 

Fuelling my obsession with studs, I've studded a vest with crosses all over it - I have taken a load of photos to post a tutorial on it! I can't wait to wear it, I'm so pleased with it. I'm also sitting here with hair dye on my head as I've just dyed my hair a medium blonde colour. I have no idea how it is going to turn out as I bought the packet of dye on a whim at the weekend. I wanted to ombre it a la Miley Cyrus, but decided £40 was an awful lot of money to spend on having it done by my hairdresser if I a) didn't like it or b) turned out to be allergic to the bleach inside the dye or whatever. So I just decided to go for a lighter colour on my whole head. Will post a review and pictures, when I have time!
