I'm back! Sorry I haven't blogged for a while, I've been mega busy and haven't had a spare half hour to rustle up a post due to revision and numerous outings and appointments.
Mini review/lipstick swatches post today. I'm aware I'm a little late on the Viva Glam Nicki bandwagon but I've been debating whether to get this or not since it came out. A few weeks ago Stephanie from An Aesthetic Rush tweeted she was getting rid of her MAC Viva Glam Nicki lipstick, and who wanted it for £7? I did! The royal mail took flippin' ages to deliver this as it only came yesterday and Stephanie sent it about 3 weeks ago? Ridiculous. Anyway on with the post...
MAC Viva Glam Nicki is MAC's latest Viva Glam creation in partnership with Nicki Minaj. I have the Viva Glam Gaga 2; what I love about these is that all the money excluding VAT goes to a HIV and AIDs charity which makes buying these rather guilt free!

The packaging is black and red as opposed to the usual black and silver. It has Nicki Minaj's signature on the inside too which is a nice touch.
Isn't it pretty!? It looks brighter in real life but I love it. It's a satin formula which I haven't tried yet but I did find it to be a little drying but nothing a lip balm can't fix. It's a glossy finish and the formula clings to the lips so it lasts a good 3 hours which is pretty average. What I really love about this is how pigmented it is; you gain full coverage in one swipe!
Only a brief review as I've reviewed MAC lipsticks before; it was just to show the swatches and what I thought of it. It definitely is a colour for the brave it will appear very bright on paler skins. I don't own anything like this so it's very welcome in my quickly expanding lipstick collection. A very pretty summery shade, but I am glad I didn't pay full price for it.

Oh and by the way, my camera broke today... I dropped it and the lens won't go back in, so expect a lack of posts! I have a lot of photos on my memory card of products I've been using so I shall live off those until it gets fixed or I get a new camera... oops!

ReplyDeleteOoh I did the same to my camera last year and thought it was broke! I took it into a camera shop and explained what happened and the man fixed it straight away. There may still be hope!xxx
