valentines date: 1 dress 3 looks!

Okay, this should be the last Valentines type post! I had a brainwave, and thought this post would be useful not just for Valentines, but generally as well. It took me forever, so I hope you enjoy! 

Deciding what to wear if you're going out on Valentines day is always difficult; you want something that isn't too fussy and over the top, but is comfortable and stylish at the same time. You also want something that you can wear on the14th of February and beyond!

 We all need that one classic piece in our wardrobes and one of those pieces is the little black dress (LBD) which comes in many variations of shapes and styles. I've chosen this black skater dress from Topshop. It's a decent length, will go with anything and is bang on trend! It also comes in at the rather affordable price of £22. Here's 3 looks I've come up with to suit whatever date you're going on...

Look one: Cinema/lunch date

Team the dress with some coral pink shoes and lipstick for a SS12 twist, and the toughen it up with a faux leather biker jacket and some silver jewellery. This is a perfect everyday look, and looks pretty without being fussy and over the top; perfect for the cinema!

Look two: Evening dinner date

Adding bright contrasting colours to a black dress looks great! Wear with this bright pink blazer and MAC lipstick in 'Impassioned' to look pretty in pink. Keep the accessories simple to let the colours do the talking. Wedges are perfect for evenings out if you don't want to look too formal. They are more comfortable and easier to walk in than heels so they're perfect for a date.

Look three: Walk in the park & a coffee

These snowy, wintry days call for a comfy pair of military boots! Add some colour with plum legging and a pale pink scarf. A classic trench coat will keep you warm and stylish in the snow and the MUA 'sweet kiss' lipbalm adds a pale pink hint of colour for kissable lips, whilst protecting them from the chill.

I love all of these outfits so much! I will definitely be getting the purple leggings, and I love the wedges from H&M!
